Business!

I woke up this morning and saw that it had been snowing quite a bit. At last we have snow! It looks totally beautiful outside. Unfortunately the weather outside is pretty dangerous for the drivers. It is totally slippery because of all that snow.

This morning Chris drove to down town to help his cousin with his move. He was driving from Ruoholahti to Kamppi and was just in front of the post office near Eerikinkatu when a taxi came at high speed. Chris did not see the taxi coming so there was nothing to be done and they crashed into each other. Luckily it was not a bad collision. Chris' car got some minor damages and an outsider's car was also damaged a bit. Chris rang to police and they came to check the scene. They said it was clear that the accident was the taxi drivers fault. He should have stopped instead of driving like a mad. The taxi driver did not admit of beeing responsible, so the case will be investigated.

Bad headache

I have had bad headache since I finished vaccuming the house after work. So after that I have not done anything really.

I got the new Yoga dvd by post today and wathched it a bit. It's faster paced than my other yoga dvd and has electornic music on the backround which I did not find that nice, but it was not too disturbing either. I will propably try this workout tomorrow.

The teacher on this dvd is Kristin McGee, a certified yoga instructor from New York who has also appeared on HBO’s “Sex and the City” and a number of ABC daytime shows.

Expensive books

This is one of the books I have to buy very soon. It costs over 70 euros. I might have to kiss good bye to my dream of having a new phone or anything. Poor days are here again.

On Monday then starts my school with an Internet course in Marketing. On Tuesday till Thursday I have to attend classes which all begin at 17.30 and end at 20.30. This lasts until May. Luckily we have winter holiday on February and easter holiday on April.

Phone fever

I have a phone fever thanks to Petra.

I really don't need one because I have my totally functional piece of soap which glows in the dark. But there are so many too cool phones that cry my name. So what to do?

I have spend my time checking out some of the coolest but same time affordable phones.

Here are the phones that I'm most interested in:

This is Nokia 7360. The cheapest one of these three. I like the colors in this one.

Nokia 6111 is the phone that Petra bought. This one is tiny and very chick.

Then there is this Nokia 7373. This is the most expensive of these three. It looks nice and has many nice features.

The more you pay the more you get. The guestion is if I need all that. I don't think I would use camera because I already have one better than in any of these phones. I don't think I would listen to music either with the phone. So maybe I just by the first one. That I might be able to afford..

Tuesday storm

The big storm is heading to Helsinki right this moment. It is raining already and it is pretty windy. The cats don't want to go out, they are just chilling at home.

Today was my first day at work after the holiday. On next Monday I'm back to school again too. Until then I can still take it pretty easy.

Right after work I did some yoga and I feel great now. I have to do yoga few times a week to keep me in shape. It is going to be hard to find time for that with school and everything, but it is good that I can do yoga when ever it suits me the best.

We are going to go bowling on Saturday to the new bowling place in Kamppi with Ika and Juuso.

Monday shopping

I was shopping again today. I bought a jacket, a bag and a calendar. Should I feel guilty?

I have been feeling very stiff today. Almost every muscle I have aches and also some muscles I have never know having are aching. The yoga session yesterday was very effective indeed. I'm going to do yoga only tomorrow.

I have now my own walk in closet as Chris' studio is no longer there. Our problems with clothes seem to be solved for now. Chris has the whole bedroom closet.

Sunday Yoga session

Today I had my second Yoga training and it went lot better than the first one I did few years ago. Then I had some bad side efects.

I bought a yoga DVD a while ago and I tested it today for the first time. I did the whole yoga session which lasted over 80 minutes and it was effective. I can feel my tummy muscles now.

There were some hard positions and learning to breath right will take some time. I felt nausea afterwards. I read that it is normal for one in five people to experience nausea or headaches when they first start doing yoga. This can be caused by tightness in the neck muscles or scoliosis in the cervical spine. I also read that nausea is not always a bad thing. Yoga causes changes in the endocrine system and the nervous system. Usually these changes are gradual and go unnoticed, however sometimes if they occur too quickly then one may experience nausea, dizziness, headaches or hot flushes.

I will do yoga again tomorrow as I'm still on holiday. Tomorrow I might go to town too and see if I can find me a proper calendar as I need one to stay organized with school stuff.

Today we got rid of the Christmas tree and cleaned the house a bit. After that was done we headed to town and went for a walk there. As we got hungry we went to eat dinner at Ananpur.

Today I went to see, if I could find something from the sales. I found a jacket, which was 50 % discount. I also found a pullover from the same store.

A proud and happy user of MacBook

I have my very own MacBook now. Chris bought me one today. He is going to make music with our iMac so he tought it would be better to get me own laptop.

We also got this excellent wireless thing called AirPort express. (AirPort Express with AirTunes is an incredible wireless product that allows you to play iTunes music over your wireless network to your home stereo or powered speakers. It also allows you to share both a broadband Internet connection for up to 10 users and a USB printer.)

We both are connected trough Airport Express to Internet and we can listen to music from either MacBook or iMac using our Harman Kardon speakers. This is just amazing. Installing these was also totally easy.

I also got tiny remote control, which allows me to play music, browse photos or watch movies.

There is also this funny Application called Photo Booth, which is just like, well, photo booth.

Piki's brush day

Piki is a demanding cat. She has to brushed, when she wants to be brushed. Today was one of those days. As Chris went to bathroom Piki scratched the door until Chris let her in. Then she jumped on to the toilet seat and waited to be brushed.
