Iloista juhannusta!
Sateesta huolimatta leppoisaa juhannusta kaikille.
Meidän juhannus on sujunut rauhallisesti. Olimme äidin luona grillaamassa päivällä. Saimme jopa nauttia auringosta hetken. Loppu ilta onkin mennyt sateisissa merkeissä.
Keskusta on hiljentynyt täysin. Nyt vaan nautitaan ja ollaan.
Kaksi viikkoa lomaan
Ensi viikko näyttää menevän aurinkoisissa merkeissä. Jos sitä saisi hankittua rusketuksen juuri ennen lomia. ;0)
Lähdemme matkalle suoraan töistä ja palaamme sopivasti takaisin saamaan avaimen uuteen kotiin. Sitten remontti ja muutto voivatkin alkaa. Elokuussa on luvassa tuparit!

Eläinlääkärissä taas
Nipi kävi tänään taas eläinlääkärissä. Tällä kertaa näyttämässä haavaa kyljessään. Nipi sai kaksi piikkiä rauhoittavaa, kun eka ei tepsinyt. Toisen jälkeen se olikin ihan tillin tallin. Lääkäri puhdisti haavan ja katsoi kuinka syvä se on. Onneksi ei kovin syvä. Nika sai viiden päivän antibioottikuurin, pahoja vaaleanpunaisia tabletteja, jotka eivät meinaa mennä alas edes kalkkunaleikkeleen kera.
Seuraava keikka eläinlääkäriin onkin ensi maanantaina, kun kolme kissaa rokotetaan.

Koira puri Rajasaaressa
Olimme Nikan kanssa illalla Rajasaaressa ja istuimme penkillä lähellä porttia. Yhtäkkiä takaa tuli kaksi harmaan mustaa koiraa. Olen ne aiemminkin siellä nähnyt. Nyt ne tulivat ihan Nikan viereen ja alkoi murina ja hampaiden näyttö. Huusin kovaan ääneen ja Nika itkaisi, kuten se tekee jos sitä pelottaa. Koirien omistaja mies huuteli koiriaan ja sai ne lopulta mukaansa. Kun tilanne oli ohi Nika istahti alas ja se näytti aristavan jalkaansa. Kävi ilmi, että toinen niistä oli purrut sitä kylkeen.
Mies koirineen oli jo mennyt.
Ilmeisesti koirat olivat amerikanakitoja. Sellaisia mustan harmaita, kai sitä väriä sanotaan karhunmustaksi.
Lueskelin, että sen rotuiset koirat eivät saisi lähestyä tuntemattomia koiria ja että niiden omistajan täytyy olla tiukka ja tietää miten niiden kanssa toimitaan. Ilmeisesti tässä tapauksessa omistaja ei ole perillä koiriensa käytöksestä.
Jos vielä näihin törmään, niin sanon hänelle pari valittua sanaa. Toivon kuitenkin etten enää törmää, sillä kerta riitti.
Huomenna mennään taas eläinlääkäriin. Pitää hakea antibioottikuuri, sillä haava tulehtuu helposti. Luonnollisesti puhdistimme sen heti.

Mökille
Viikonloppu mökillä lähestyy. Olemme lähdössä perjantaina Savitaipaleelle kavereiden mökille. Nika tulee mukaan ja äiti tulee hoitamaan kissoja viikonlopuksi.
Mukavaa päästä maalle rentoutumaan ja nauttimaan keskikesästä.

Summer holiday trip is reserved
We have finally reserved our trip for the summer holiday. This year we are heading again to Germany. This time we will be taking our dog Nika and our car with us.
We will be traveling with a ferry across the Baltic sea to Rostock.
From Rostock we will be driving to Southern Germany.

World Environment Day 2010 - Many Species. One Planet. One Future
World Environment Day (WED) is a day that stimulates awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and public action. It is on 5 June. It was the day that United Nations Conference on the Human Environment began. The United Nations Conference on the Human Environment was from 5-16 June 1972. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972.The first World Environment Day was on 1973.
World Environment Day is hosted every year by a different city with a different theme and is commemorated with an international exposition on the week that 5 June is on. World Environment Day is in summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere.
Under the theme 'Many Species. One Planet. One Future', this year’s event will celebrate the incredible diversity of life on Earth as part of the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity.
This year’s global host, Rwanda – a country of exceptional biodiversity that has made huge strides on environmental protection – will lead the celebrations with three days of keynote events.
Thousands of activities will also be organized worldwide, with beach clean-ups, concerts, exhibits, film festivals, community events and much more.

Wallpaper for our bedroom
We are already starting to think about our new home and how we are going to decorate it.
We would like the bedroom to have an asian look. As we had in our last home. I really liked our dark brown bedroom. The new bedroom has white and silver on closets. We have many golden objects, like a mirror and few paintings. So the color scheme should include gold, silver, white etc.
We have found two wallpapers we really like. At the moment we don't yet know which of these two we will use.
