Ulm 31.7.

On Sunday we took a train from Neusäß to Ulm. It took about an hour. The weather was unfortunalely first quite clody, but it didn't rain. In Ulm we visited the minster.

Then we had delicious tapas in Besitos.

The old town in Ulm reminded me a bit of Strasboug or Colmar.

Das Gaswerk in Augsburg

I found the old gas fabric "das Gaswerk" very interesting. They had an art exhibition inside one of the buildings. The art was not nearly as interesting as the old machines.

Augsburg 30.-31.7

I spend a wekend in Augsburg with Uta and Jochen. First we had coffee and delicious cakes. After that we went for a couple hour walk. After the walk we bbq at Uta and Jochen's place. In the evening we attended the Grenzenlos Festival in the old gaswerk in Augsburg. The evening ended in a pub in downtown.

Neben dem Bauhaus hat wohl keine andere Bewegung der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts unseren Alltag so sehr beeinflusst wie die De Stijl-Gruppe um Piet Mondrian und Theo van Doesburg.

Die Ausstellung des Lenbachhauses „Mondrian und De Stijl“ ist die erste umfassende Museumspräsentation in Deutschland, die sich dieser stilbildenden Avantgarde-Gruppe widmet. Sie ist in enger Kooperation mit dem Gemeentemuseum in Den Haag entstanden, Heimat der weltweit umfangreichsten Sammlung an Bildern Piet Mondrians.

I'm back in Kaufbeuren after a eventful weekend in couple different cities.
