Baby stalking

Today we were having lunch downtown after shopping for the halloween costumes. We were at one Nepalese restaurant. There were only few people and a mother, with her kid and older woman, which probably was the grandmother of the kid.
We sat down on the other side of the restaurant to have our privacy. The mother was constantly calling the kids name. The kid was so young that he could not yet speak and he was behaving ok (read: was quiet). But the mother she could not be quiet even for one minute. "Thomas! Thomas! Thomas don't spit, Thomas this and Thomas that." She was very loud, even though the kid did not appear to have any hearing problems and was very calm and was sitting right next to her. I did not count how many times the mother called her kids name, but it was more than enough. I was pretty fed up with that.

It was very obvious that she wanted to have everybody's attention to her table and to her kid. I could not care less. I just wanted to eat my lunch without hearing that breeder calling her kids name twice every second.

Now I know there is a name for this kind of behavior. It is baby stalking.
