Summer holiday trip is reserved
We have finally reserved our trip for the summer holiday. This year we are heading again to Germany. This time we will be taking our dog Nika and our car with us.
We will be traveling with a ferry across the Baltic sea to Rostock.
From Rostock we will be driving to Southern Germany.

World Environment Day 2010 - Many Species. One Planet. One Future
World Environment Day (WED) is a day that stimulates awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and public action. It is on 5 June. It was the day that United Nations Conference on the Human Environment began. The United Nations Conference on the Human Environment was from 5-16 June 1972. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972.The first World Environment Day was on 1973.
World Environment Day is hosted every year by a different city with a different theme and is commemorated with an international exposition on the week that 5 June is on. World Environment Day is in summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere.
Under the theme 'Many Species. One Planet. One Future', this year’s event will celebrate the incredible diversity of life on Earth as part of the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity.
This year’s global host, Rwanda – a country of exceptional biodiversity that has made huge strides on environmental protection – will lead the celebrations with three days of keynote events.
Thousands of activities will also be organized worldwide, with beach clean-ups, concerts, exhibits, film festivals, community events and much more.

Wallpaper for our bedroom
We are already starting to think about our new home and how we are going to decorate it.
We would like the bedroom to have an asian look. As we had in our last home. I really liked our dark brown bedroom. The new bedroom has white and silver on closets. We have many golden objects, like a mirror and few paintings. So the color scheme should include gold, silver, white etc.
We have found two wallpapers we really like. At the moment we don't yet know which of these two we will use.

Meillä on uusi koti
Tarjouksemme hyväksyttiin sunnuntaina. Pääsemme muuttamaan uuteen kotiin heinäkuun lopussa.
Uudessa kodissamme on sauna, parveke ja pienen pieni piha. Se on kaksio, 3,5 neliötä isompi kuin entinen asuntomme. Talo on vain viisi vuotta vanha ja asunto on hyvässä kunnossa, joten mitään suurta remonttia ei tarvitse tehdä. Haluamme kuitenkin ehkä tapetoida tai maalta joitain seiniä ja tehdä asunnosta oman näköisen. Nyt kaikki seinät ovat valkoiset. Keittiössä on valkoiset kaapit ja samanlainen taso, kuin vanhassa asunnossamme eli se on oikein tyylikäs.

Tarjous sisällä
Nyt on jälleen tehty tarjous yhdestä asunnosta. Toivottavasti nyt nappaisi. En vielä paljasta enempää kuin että asunnossa on sauna, parveke ja minikokoinen piha. Se on uusi eli ei remonttihuolia. Toivotaan, että tarjous hyväksytään. Muuttamaan pääsisimme kuitenkin vasta heinäkuun lopulla.

Takatalvi
Tänään on ollut jäätävän kylmä. Aamu alkoi räntäsateella. Työmatkalla kastuivat kengät ja farkut reiteen asti. Kaiken kruunasi idiootti taxi, joka roiskaisi vedet minun ja toisen jalankulkijan päälle liikennevaloissa odottaessamme.
Tässä on tapahtunut yhtä ja toista kun viimeksi tänne kirjoitin.
Nikan kanssa olimme viime viikolla Viikin yliopistollisen eläinsairaalan päivystyksessä. Meiltä jäi April Jazz väliin sen takia, mutta onneksi saimme ostamamme liput myytyä eteenpäin. En jaksa tässä nyt kertoa enempää, kuin että uusi antibioottikuuri saatiin, sekä toista haimaentsyymiä ja närästyslääkettä. Nyt on alkanut näyttää paremmalle. Nika voi hyvin, eikä oireita enää ole. Kuume meni ohi eli tulehdus lienee aisoissa. Toivotaan parasta nyt.
Sunnuntaina teimme yhdestä asunnosta tarjouksen, mutta koska pihtasimme rahan kanssa oli joku toinen tarjonnut enemmän. Meidän tarjous ei montaa tuhatta uupunut pyydetystä, joten nyt saa todella maksaa jos jotain haluaa. Eilen kävimme katsomassa kahta asuntoa Sörnäisissä. Ensimmäinen oli ullakkoasunto ja hyvin epäkäytännöllinen eli vaikea sisustaa. Toinen oli ihana, mutta laskimme, että se tulee ehkä kuitenkin liian kalliiksi. Tietysti voihan aina tarjota vähemmän. Täytyy nyt seurata miten asunnon käy. Luulen, että se menee pian, koska siinä ei ollut mitään vialla.
