Cin Cin! It's Friday!

Finally it's Friday. My first "back to reality" week is over. I'm pretty tired but still I managed to make us sushi for dinner and it was delicious.
Tonight I'm going to enjoy both of my Champagnes, the one I have always here at home and the one I bought today. :0)

Little Paws Prayer

This is a prayer for little paws
All up and down the land,
Driven away, no friendly voice
Never an outstretched hand.

For weary paws of little beasts
Torn and stained with red,
And never a home and never a rest,
Till little beasts are dead.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
That walk the world today.

Another very long day

I feel very tired at the moment. I just got home after having a long day first working and then studying. Today's course was about organizational behavior which has always interested me. We have to do a study on this course and I should have a ready plan on the 12th of September. So have to get into that very soon.

I'm having my dinner now and then will go straight to bed.

I'm too tired to blog properly tonight.

Good night!

Here is today's outfit:

A chilly August day

Today was just a normal working day and no lessons in the evening. Last night I got up about six times because Piki wanted to go out and then she wanted to come in and was miauing outside. I didn't get too much sleep and have been feeling quite tired today.

Tomorrow I have lessons again. I should soon get in to the learning mode. I hope to get my books tomorrow from library.

It has been very cold here for the past few days. Lot colder than it should be in this time of the year. I just hope it stay like this, otherwise it's going to be
really long fall this year.

For the coming days the weather doesn't look too good either:

Saturday's picnic in Nuuksio

Today we were in Nuuksio and had a lovely picnic with Chris' parents Art and Paula. Nuuksio is in Espoo near Helsinki. It takes about 30 minutes from our place by car. It is so beautiful and peaceful there in the middle of the forest.

I took lot of photos there and here are some of them:

Moschino Funny! Is the newest perfume by Moschino. It is a floral-fruity funny fragrance. The composition opens with red currants, spicy orange and pink pepper. The heart notes are green tea, jasmine, peony and violet, and the base unites cedar, amber and musk.

The perfume was created by Antoine Maisondieu.

Today's outfit with afternoon tea

As an afternoon tea I'm having Indian Darjeeling tea with some nuts and almonds covered with dark-, white- and milk chocolate. I got those from Uta and I've almost eaten all of them. They were just so delicious!

I'm following the example of so many blogs: For the fist time here in Cat's Sneeze: Today's outfit!

I'm starting to feel better. Today I decided that it was time to get some fresh air and I walked to the library. Tomorrow I'm going to work and after that it's weekend again. On Monday then the real life starts with work and studies. I think I'm going to just chill on the weekend and spend my last days of freedom by enjoying the garden, good books and Chris.

History of the domestic cat (Part one)

Cats have always been a source of fascination for mankind throughout history. Today cats have become one of the world's most popular pets perfectly suited to the lifestyle of our day. They are beautiful, enigmatic and easy-to-care for pets. But where and when did the domestic cat originate?

It has been about 4000 years since the first cats were domesticated. The Ancient Egyptians were the first to keep and use cats to control vermin and other pests to protect stores of food. In Ancient Egypt, the cat was revered as a hunter and worshiped as gods and goddesses. The ancient Egyptians imposed the death penalty for killing cats and cats were also mummified before being buried.

The earliest written records of attempts to domesticate cats date back to ancient Egypt. Ancient Egyptians regarded cats as embodiments of the goddess Bast, also known as Bastet (emphasizing the female -t suffix) or Thet.

She was the daughter of the sun god Ra, although she was sometimes regarded as the daughter of Amun. She was the wife of Ptah and mother of the lion-god Maahes. Her cult was centered on her sanctuary at Bubastis in the Nile Delta, where a necropolis has been found containing mummified cats.

Other ancient civilizations later began to domesticate the cat and took tame felines to Italy where they slowly spread around Europe. Eventually, they arrived in the New World with the Pilgrims. The short haired domestic cat spread across the world from Egypt while long haired cats came later from Turkey and Iran. The domestic cat also spread from India to China and Japan.

"Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this." - Anonymous

At home resting and playing Sudoku

I've been at home today. Today would have been my first day at work after the holiday. I'm still so ill that I didn't go to work. My ears haven't yet normalized and I'm hoping that I won't have an ear infection or anything like that.

I haven't been doing too much today. I did some Sudoku and I'm already getting better with that. Soon I won't be able to do Sudoku or much anything as my studies start on Monday. I can't say that I 'd missed studying. I'm only waiting my Chinese language course to start. Anything else doesn't really fascinate me much. I still have to figure out if I'm going to drop the Japanese course or the "sustainable development and the responsible society" course. Both of them interest me but I'm not able to take both of them. So have to see about that.

The worst album covers ever

What where people thinking when they made these covers?! I don't really wanna know. These are just so disturbed:

"By request only" Let's keep it that way Kenny boy..

Oh yes!

I feel sorry for the pig.

This is my favorite! I did not know that Heino used to be a woman! I feel embarrassed to even admit that I know who he is.

She is having bad constipation, I guess. Back to the shit? I wonder what the songs are about in this album.

The music they made was ok, but those outfits! Or what do you think about these unisex overalls? Looks a bit gay, doesn't it?

I feel so sad for this guy, I really do. In so many ways.

I just can't describe my feelings for this album.

In some hidden ways this cover looks a bit gay too and what are these guys in the back doing?

This woman is the queen of bad taste.

What is this about? Let me touch him. I won't get any deeper to this...

Hmmm...Julie looks a bit upset there. But can you really blame her for that..
