Fresh ink
I got home like an hour ago and I'm feeling very tired.
I just got my fourth tattoo done by Kristian at Legacy tattoo. I will now add the photos here but I'm too tired to write more today. I also have a video and I will add that later.
This tattoo is my birthday present from Chris. It's flowers as I told you, cherry blossoms.

A New Week Has Begun
This week is going to be fun. Lot of nice stuff happening.
Today I was talking about my studies with the education counselor. As you might know I'm specializing in Asian business and with that I'm taking courses in sustainable development. The education counselor thinks that with the courses I have chosen I should have no problem in getting a trainee position in Asia. I'm taking lot of courses in Asian business, culture, languages and communication. Currently I'm studying Asian politics in the university.
So, the schedule for the rest of my studies is now clear and if everything goes as planned, I would only have one more year of hard studying to do.

New colors
I just changed the colors in my blog and as you can see I have a new clock also.
This weekend has been really nice so far. I have no pressures at the moment with my studies. Next week I'm not in a rush with assignments. I have only one assignment that has to be ready. Today I have to make my learning plan for the rest of my studies. I already know what courses I want to take. So it should be no problem.
Yesterday we were in downtown. I didn't bought anything for myself. I got a present for little Elina. She has birthday on Thursday, the same day as I have mine. She will be three years old. I also bought something small for my sponsor child who lives in India. Chris got a little present for his sponsor child who lives in Philippines.
In the evening Chris met his work mate in an Irish bar. I spend my evening with my neighbor watching a film.
I'm really waiting forward to the next week. On Thursday is my birthday and we are going to have dinner in a Japanese restaurant with our friends. On Wednesday is an exciting day also. I'll tell you about that later.

Aidosti oikea
Teki mieli aamulla huutaa ääneen hallelujaa, sillä eilistä Hesaria lukiessani oli vihdoin joku kirjoittanut aiheesta joka on ÄRSYTTÄNYT mua siitä asti, kun ensimmäisen kerran kuulin henkilön tätä sanaa käyttävän. Se on tämä "aidosti" sana. Aina, kun kuulen jonkun käyttävän sitä, tekee mieli rääkyä kovaan ääneen ARGH! Olen miettinyt pitkään, että miksi sitä ylipäätään käytetään.
"Mä ole aidosti sitä mieltä, että.." Ja jos et ole aidosti sitä mieltä, niin oletko sitten epäaidosti eli valehteletko? Miksei voi sanoa: "Olen sitä mieltä." Onko niin, että sillä ei ole enää tehoa, onko tullut sanottua liikaa? Miksi nyt ollaan niin aitoja??
Perjantain 14.3. Hesarissa Vesa Karonen kirjoittaa Kanavalla -palstalla tästä ilmiöstä otsikolla Aidosti, oikeasti. Häntä ärsyttää myös sanan "oikeasti" käyttö. Eikö seuraava lause kuulosta ihan hemmetin naurettavalta? Tämä on lainattu Tuomas Enbusken keskustelusta Yle Radio01:stä 21.2. "Okei, jossain sotilasdiktatuurissa, jossa ihmiset on aidosti telkien takana..." Ja taas tekee mieli huutaa lujaa ARGH! Siis ne on niinku ihan aidosti siellä telkien takana, eikä siis niinku leikisti.
Toivon joka päivä, että tämä sana palautuu siihen aitoon ja oikeaan tarkoitukseensa ja unohtuu, niinkuin leikkisä "aikuisten oikeasti", jota jengi hoki yhteen aikaan koko ajan. Silloin tuntui välillä siltä, kuin olisi ollut lapsen seurassa, joka oli juuri oppinut uuden sanan ja kokeili miltä tuntuu käyttää sitä.
Mikähän on seuraava päivän sana?

Väsynyt ihminen
rentoutuu kotona töllöä katsellen. Ikävää, ettei sieltä vaan tule mitään, kuin vasta klo 21.
Järkytyin juuri, kun jouduin todistamaan hirveää juustomainosta. Tiedätte varmaan. Sen jossa blondi syö juustoa ja ääntelee kuin aikuisten elokuvassa konsanaan. Loppujärkytyksenä karmea peruukkipäinen eunukki avaa suunsa. Huh. Mikähän mainostoimisto tuosta mainoksesta vastaa?
Viikko on ollut äärimmäisen tiukka. Eilen tunnilla, tänään tentissä. Yhden ison esseen palautus, yhden ryhmätyön palautus. Kvantitatiivisten tehtävän palautus siirtyi onneksi ensi viikkoon! Olisin muuten vääntänyt sitä tänään ja huomenna. Edellisestä tehtävästä sain 5. En siis sittenkään jätä kurssia kesken. Aika moni on kuulemma keskeyttänyt. Keskeytys prosentti on kuulemma ollut 30%. Siis iltaopiskelijoilla.
On tosi väsynyt olo. Viikonloppuna voisi kerrankin rentoutua. Ensi viikolla synttärit tiedossa ja pääsiäinen. Kivaa!
Tiedän jo mitä saan Christianilta lahjaksi. Ne on kukkia, mutta ne ei tuoksu. ;0)

Studying, studying..
This weekend I've been mostly studying.
Yesterday we were though at this tattoo convention from which Chris wrote about earlier. He forgot to mention the best thing that happened there. We were already leaving and wondered why Ika and Juuso where not following us so we went back and Juuso told us that the Scandinavian Tattoo Magazine wanted to take photos from Ika. She is probably going to be on the cover! So, maybe it was all worth of 18 Euros. After the convention we had dinner at Seahorse and few beers in down town. We had a fun evening.
Today I have been studying and the next week is going to be a very very busy week. I have one exam and few assignments to do. I also have lessons on Wednesday. Today I wrote one essay and did one assignment. I didn't finish them but I got lot done and that always helps.
Now it's time to relax with a book and after that I'll go to bed.

The International Helsinki Tattoo Convention 2008 by Chris
The Tattoo "convention" was to be the happening of the year, well ok, maybe not that special but I think we all had positive and high expectations. After all it was 18 Euros to get in + then another 2 Euros for your jacket.
On a side not, I have never quite understood that jacket fee. It's silly. I have been to places before that, even if you don't actually have a jacket, you still
have to pay 2-3 Euro's for your make believe jacket! Just a money scam!
Anyhow, myself, Eveliina, Ika and Juuso arrived at Kaapelitehdas just after 4 pm on Saturday. After about 15 mins of browsing around I thought, "there must be some more rooms here to check out, it can't all just be in this one tiny room or can it?"
Well, it could! It was like visiting a flea market, only a flea market is more fun. The only thing you could really hear was the buzzing of tattoo ink machines piercing the flesh of beer drinking-sweaty people.
They had some merchandise for sale, like punk shirts, hats, pins and whatnot, stuff that you could find in several places directly under Rautatientori. But here you had to pay 18 Euro to get to see it.
Everyone in our party sorta had the feeling that "what am I doing here and please lets just go somewhere and eat!".
Well, in 2009 we'll all be wiser and won't be attending. I have also left the 2008 tattoo convention page on Facebook. I'm no longer a member there!
