Planning our summer holiday

It's only seven weeks and we are off to Hong Kong. We must soon start to plan our holiday.
We are first staying in Hong Kong about three or four days.

It is surprisingly expensive to fly direct from Hong Kong to Phuket although the flight time is only three and a half hours.

Our option is to fly from Macau to Singapore or to Malaysia. We are most likely to fly to Singapore. Macau is situated close to Hong Kong and you can take a ferry to get there.

I also want to spend some time in Macau which used to be owned by Portugal and has a historical European appearance. The place is also called Asia's Las Vegas, because the gambling is legal there.

Macau's official languages are Chinese and Portuguese.
Macau is a Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China since 20 December 1999. Macau has own currency the Pataca and there are about 500 000 people living in Macau.

As we get from Macau to Singapore we are staying there few days as well. We still have not been on a night safari in Singapore. We might then meet again with Li-Ann and her family like we did last summer.

We are staying the most of our holiday in Phuket and enjoying the beautiful Kata beach and Aspasia.

Chris would also like to drive to Krabi.

The drive takes only two hours. The roads are supposed to be very good we were told. We would then live in a bungalow on the beach or in a forest.
